Although there have been times that I have been less than grateful that Jacob learned to talk, read about it here, more often than not I've enjoyed hearing what he has to say. Or how he has to say it.
For example, my sister-in-law Mary, has been called Maury as long as he's been able to speak. The way he has has said Kaylen has varied from Kayween to Kaywen. There is a cute little used car lot up the street that has three goats doing their rentention pond gardening. We have been by twice to visit them and each time the loudest of the goats, whose name is Larry, gets called everything from Naury, Larwen, Werny (huh?) and Launry. Side note: it turns out that I am a goat whisperer. I say neh and they respond!
Beyond names, we are beginning to hear other funny things coming from Jacob's mouth- "goodbye, have good day! Love you!" in that order to almost everyone we say goodbye to, whether we know them or not. "I get my burger (translation: booger)" as he digs up his nose and I cringe and tell him to leave his burgers in his nose. And my personal fave, after a trip to the potty during which he....did a #2...a small #2, he said, "oh look, a little fishy!". What?!?!
Perhaps the cutest thing of all, to me anyways, is how he refers to his tricyle as his "twuck" and the back part of it as his "twailer". He spends vast amounts of time putting things in his twailer to haul around- rocks, toy cars, his little plastic chair. It's adorable. He wants to be just like daddy.
Everytime I look at this child, I can't believe he is mine. How did I get to have the cutest, smartest, bestest little boy? Well, thats easy, I married the cutest, smartest, bestest big boy. Love my boys!
