Product Review

At nearly every baby shower I had before Jacob was born I came home with lots of blankets, towels and body wash. Thats what people give you when you opt not to find out what you are having. Jacob will be three in September and we've added another baby member to the family and I still haven't needed to buy baby body wash. Or powder. Or lotion.

I still didn't need to buy any when I bought this new bottle of Johnson's Honey Apple Baby Wash. It just sounded so good, I had to give it a try.

Already a huge fan of Johnson's Baby Bedtime with Lavender, I had high hopes for this baby wash.

This product was great! They were squeaky clean, slick as a bar of soap and smelled like the sweetest little fruity nuggets this world has ever seen. The only thing about this stuff is that it should come with a warning that says, "May cause repeated and prolonged periods of head sniffing." Because thats what I did.

But the real test came as Tony was spending a quiet moment with the kids before bed:

And I caught him sniffing too. He's big and strong and tough and oh so brave, but even he can't resist breathing deeply the scent of our baby. It's the sweetest smell on earth. Subtle, sweet, irresistable.

I have a feeling that once the baby smell leaves our house, I'll miss it. It's almost a symbol of this sweet time with my kids- I can't bottle it, you can't buy it somewhere and once it's gone, it's gone. But for as long as it lasts, I'll inhale as deeply as I can and savor the lingering sweetness.

  1. I still use Johnson's Head to Toe wash...for the exact reason. Scrumptiousness all around.
